Who are GBSC ...
The Great Britain Ice Hockey Supporters Club (GBSC) was founded in 1991 with the aim of assisting like minded fans to support Great Britain at minimal cost.
 GBSC is the only national ice hockey team supporters club in the world.
GBSC has grown over the years and now has around 500 members. We are able, through fund raising activities, to provide sponsorship to the Great Britain teams at Senior (Men and Women), under 20 and Under 18 level. Since GBSC's foundation it has provided in excess of £25,000 for the GB programme.
What do we do ...
Every year GBSC organise trips to support GB teams wherever they are competing and at whatever level. Amongst the countries we have visited are Denmark, Hungary, Slovenia, Croatia, Austria, Norway, Poland, Slovakia, Ukraine, Italy, France, Latvia and Holland.
The trips are a good chance to forge new friendships and renew old ones. Fun is had by one and all with the chance to watch good standard hockey and support your country.
This season (2008/9) the GB Teams will be playing in the following locations, with GBSC organising trips to all of these competitions :
The Great Britain Senior Men's Team will travel to Torun in Poland for the 2009 Division 1 Group B World Championships. Great Britain will be in the group which has Italy, Ukraine, Poland, Netherland and Romania. The tournament will take place from 11th to 17th April 2009.
The U20 team is still awaiting top hear where they will be playing their Division 2 World Championships in December 2008. The dates and venue are expected to be announced by the IIHF in September 2008. Other teams in the group with GB are Netherlands, Croatia, Spain, Mexico and New Zealand.
The u18 team will travel to Narva in Estonia for their Division II Group B World Championships. The tournament runs from the 16th to 22nd March 2009 and also features Netherlands, Belgium, China, Serbia and Estonia.
The GB Womens Team will be participating in the Women's World Championships Devision 2 in Torre Pelice in Italy, from the 12th to 18th April. GB will face Latvia, Denmark, Korea, Netherlands and Italy.
This season also see's the Olympic Qualifiers. The GB Men travel to Sanok in Poland for the Pre-Qualifiers in November 2008 (6th to 9th) and will face Poland, Japan and Romania.
The GB Women will travel to Slovenia for their Olympic Pre-Qualifiers. They will face Norway, Slovenia and Austria between September 4th - 7th.
