Peterborough Phantoms have identified the benefit of prospect player migration and development.

Following the launch of the Academy the Phantoms will from 2008-2009 carry prospect players within their senior squad.

The prospect program will allow players who are 1 to 2 years away from senior maturity the gradual progression to the senior program. Long term the Academy will annually deliver prospect candidates.

Prospects will begin training with the senior team whilst continuing their development via practice and match time within their own age grouping. Prospect players will be afforded some benefits via the senior team and will be part of the squad and team at times when they are not competing within their natural age group or elsewhere that furthers their development and migration.

The aim is via the Academy all prospects, long term, will flow from within. Short term whilst we wait for Academy delivery this may not be the case.
